((Nice signature, Deke...))
Selene glanced at the dwarf, feeling a little sympathy for the boy. He seemed to be dreading fighting as much as she had been.

((Thank you. ;D And unless Selene has incredibly acute people-senses, she probably wouldn't know that Deke is afraid. Sorry for the emotional outburst. It was against the grain of the character.))
Just do it. Get it over with. Deke became suddenly aware of his lack of a sword. He hurried to the rack and fetched one, alarmed at its lightness. He'd been hoping for a broadsword; something heavy he could swing with two hands. He returned to the field and stood in his place, looking calmly at the instructor.

((Eep. Sorry.))
Selene watched in polite interest, waiting for someone to make a move.

Amelia wasn't sure what was going to happen with this fight, but she didn't expect to see the Deke kid win.

Selene felt like she was only posting to take up space, and thought that maybe she should make an app since she was bored.

((Apols for not being on in a while. Exams, then it actually snowed for the first time in two years. XD And minor godmodding of teachers is ok as long as you stick to their general behaviorness. Just don't have them do anything crazy...))
"Hmm," Mr. U muttered as Selene left. He nodded to Deke and waited for him to swing. This year's class would be work for him. There was no way he could teach them all at once. He'd have to take them all separately.

Ebeth glanced at her watch. "It's about lunchtime, Mr. U" she said.

"Oh...ah...is it?" Mr. U asked. "Shame. Sorry...erm...Deke. Um. Run along then. Er...bye," He gave an awkward little wave and walked off.

Ebeth was slightly surprised at Mr. U's leaving so abruptly, but she was used to his eccentricity. She just shrugged and waved towards the others. "C'mon," she muttered and shoved her sword back onto the rack. "I'm starving"

((terribly sorry, parents got mad and disabled cookies, and i only just figured out how to fix it. )) Deke smiled dazedly, showing little, if anything, of the wave of relief filling him now. He would relearn Swords for Dummies from a fellow student instead of from Mr. U in the spotlight. He ambled after the group, placing the sword back on the rack.
